True Talent Group has always believed something pretty simple:
People are not resumes.
And hiring should never feel transactional.
As TTG continues to grow, especially in a world becoming more automated and AI-driven by the second, that belief matters more than ever.
Over the last few months, we’ve added incredible new team members who not only bring deep expertise, but genuinely align with how we want people to feel when they work with TTG. Whether they’re a client trying to solve a business challenge or a candidate navigating a major career moment they genuinely want to help.
Because growth is exciting.
But true fit? That’s everything.
We’re building a team that helps us move faster, think smarter, create better experiences, and continue delivering the high-touch partnership our clients and talent know us for, without losing the human side that got us here in the first place.
And honestly? We couldn’t be more excited.
Instead of giving you the standard corporate bios, we thought it’d be more fun to let you get to know a few of our newest team members the TTG way.
Meet Jessica Birkholz, Director of People & Operations
Q: What excited you most about joining TTG?
Jessica: “It felt aligned immediately. TTG cares deeply about people, relationships, and building something meaningful and that’s exactly how I operate. I’ve spent my career helping businesses scale and evolve, but the part I’ve always loved most is helping people do their best work.”
Jessica brings 20 years of experience across media, marketing, operations, strategy, analytics, and agency leadership. But if you ask her what really drives her, it’s helping turn vision into traction.
She’s the kind of leader who loves building the systems and foundations that help teams move faster and smarter while still making people feel supported, seen, and empowered.
Or as we like to say around here, the person making sure the engine runs smoothly without making things feel robotic.
Q: So… what will Jessica actually be focused on?
A lot of exciting things.
- Streamlining operations.
- Creating more clarity internally.
- Helping TTG scale intentionally.
- Identifying smarter ways to leverage technology and automation.
But the important part? None of this is about replacing human connection.
It’s actually the opposite.
The more efficient and aligned we become operationally, the more time our team gets to spend building relationships, solving problems, and creating meaningful experiences for clients and talent.
Q: What makes TTG different from other recruiting firms in your eyes?
Jessica: “The authenticity. It’s real here. Relationships matter. People matter. TTG genuinely cares about finding the right fit, not just filling a role.”
That answer alone told us she belonged here.
Also worth noting: Jessica recently completed the Twin Cities Marathon during a season of major personal and professional transition which honestly tells you a lot about who she is. Thoughtful. Driven. Grounded. Resilient.
And yes… she’s already helping us level up in big ways. To learn more about Jessica check her out on LinkedIn.
Meet Kelly Gunderson, Director of Client & Talent Experience
If you’ve ever worked with a recruiter who made you feel like your resume disappeared into a black hole… Kelly is basically the opposite of that experience.
With 13 years of recruiting experience, Kelly deeply understands that true recruiting is never about volume.
It’s about connection. Kelly has built relationships with 100’s of clients and even more candidates and she’s bringing all of that experience and knowledge to TTG. In her new role, Kelly is focused on improving the client & the talent experience from the moment we onboard all the way through the end of contracts. But just because a contract ends, doesn’t mean the relationship does. Kelly loves connect with people and making them life long friends.
Q: What does “true fit” mean to you?
Kelly: “It means really understanding people. Not just what’s on paper, but where they’ll thrive, what energizes them, where they’re ready to grow, and what kind of environment will bring out their best.”
That right there? That’s TTG.
Because finding the right hire isn’t about matching keywords on a resume to a job description. It’s understanding humans well enough to know where the magic actually happens.
Kelly has an incredible ability to create authentic relationships with both clients and candidates, helping companies find people who truly fit their culture while helping talent find opportunities where they can genuinely succeed and grow.
And in a world increasingly driven by automation, AI, and applicant tracking systems, that human intuition matters more than ever. To learn more about Kelly check her out on LinkedIn.
